Abstract
A well-defined and logical structure is core to the functioning of all systems, especially in times of uncertainty, making the role of recommendations and guidelines critical during a pandemic. Considering that unlike regulations, recommendations, and guidelines are not enforceable by law, the use of unbiased, explicit and transparent statements would leave no room for doubt or manipulation by the user. We present a review of the coronavirus diseases 2019 recommendations that influenced the practice of Assisted Reproduction in India intending to leave us better prepared for creating guidelines for the next pandemic or similar emergency.
