Journal Club: Empowering rural women through sustainable menstrual hygiene practices

In this exclusive with Medical Dialogues, Dr. Garima Soni, discusses an original article on empowering rural women through sustainable menstrual hygiene practices. The study, conducted in Aandhi village, Rajasthan, focused on educational interventions to improve menstrual hygiene management (MHM). It highlighted the impact of these initiatives in raising awareness, promoting hygienic practices, and reducing improper disposal of menstrual products. Post-intervention, there was a significant improvement in hygiene practices, demonstrating the need for continued education, sustainable products, and proper waste disposal systems in rural India. The Journal of Reproductive Healthcare and Medicine (JRHM) is owned by the Indian Society for the Study of  Reproduction and Fertility (ISSRF), and published by the Scientific Scholar.
