AU - Shahrawat,Renu AB - Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has been challenging the health systems for almost a year now; still health systems around the world especially in countries like India are struggling to provide essential health services along with the measures to control the pandemic. The evidence suggests that pandemic and measures to control it have the capacity to increase the maternal morbidity, directly by coronavirus infection and indirectly due to lack of timely access to the healthcare. The burden on health system is further increased by the expected baby boom due to lack of timely access to family planning and safe abortion services. Moreover, the evidence suggests that COVID-19 pandemic has an effect on male and female reproductive tissues.
